Reflections on the 87th Annual Northern States District Senior Conference
From April 24-26, 2026, members of the Northern States District of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary came together virtually for the 87th Annual Northern States District Senior Conference. Guided by the inspiring theme, “Deepening Roots: Strengthening Our Connection as Clavers,” delegates gathered to conduct the business of the Order, strengthen fellowship, recognize achievement, and renew their commitment to faith, leadership, and service.

The conference theme was rooted in 1 Corinthians 15:58, reminding members to remain steadfast in the work of the Lord. Throughout the weekend, participants reflected on the importance of building stronger connections across councils, courts, and communities while remaining faithful to the mission and traditions of Claverism.
The conference officially opened on Friday with a Joint Opening Prayer Service and Joint Opening Plenary Session. Conference Presidents Daryl Anderson and Shaniqua X. Wilson welcomed attendees alongside district, national, and junior division leaders. Special remarks were delivered by Dr. Christopher A. Pichon, Supreme Knight and Chief Executive Officer, along with other district and national leaders who encouraged members to continue growing in faith, service, and unity.
During the business sessions, delegates addressed key matters affecting the Northern States District. The agenda included committee appointments, credentials reports, nominations, elections, committee discussions, officer reports, unfinished business, and new business. These deliberations demonstrated the Order’s commitment to responsible governance and collaborative leadership.
Saturday’s activities featured reports from numerous district committees, including Health & Wellness, Military Advisory, Social Justice, Scholarship Grant, Scholarship Raffle, Liturgy, Emerging Leaders, Conference Theme, Time & Place, and Points of Light. Delegates also participated in the presentation of district awards and the scholarship raffle drawing, celebrating the accomplishments and dedication of members throughout the Northern States District.
A particularly meaningful moment of the conference was the Joint Deceased Members Memorial Service, where participants paused to honor and remember the Clavers who had gone before them. This observance reflected the deep bonds of fraternity and sisterhood that unite members across generations.
The conference concluded on Sunday with the Joint Closing Mass, providing an opportunity for members to gather in prayer and thanksgiving before returning to their councils and courts. The closing events reinforced the conference’s central message: our strength as Clavers is found in our shared faith, common purpose, and commitment to one another.
As we reflect on the success of the 87th Annual Northern States District Senior Conference, we extend our gratitude to the conference leadership, planning committees, presenters, volunteers, and delegates whose dedication made the weekend possible. The spirit of “Deepening Roots” will continue to inspire our work as we strengthen our connection as Clavers and carry forward the mission of the Knights of Peter Claver in our parishes and communities.
In Christ and Claverism, we move forward together, firmly rooted in faith, fellowship, and service.
